PURPOSE:To make accurate the setting operation of a recording level, by providing a means to display a peak of a signal through holding and changing a signal level depending on the content of display. CONSTITUTION:When level set switches S1-1-S1-4 are changed over to the contact (b) side at recording, a signal is applied to a peak holding circuit 4 via a line amplifier 1, and the peak value is indicated by a level meter 6. A volume control VR1-2 is adjusted until this indicated value conincides with a suitable recording level of a magnetic tape in use. Since a volume control VR1-1 is interlocked with the volume control VR1-2, suitable adjustment of the VR1-1 is possible. Recording state is obtained by switching the switches S1-1-S1-4 to the contact (a) side. |
