PURPOSE:To obtain a stable monokaryotic mycelium of a Coriolus versicolor (Fr.) Que l sp., capable of exhibiting a growth rate several times that of the dikaryotic mycelium and utilizable for the same use as the dikaryotic mycelium, by cultivating the dikaryotic mycelium of the Coriolus versicolor (Fr.) Que l sp. in a liquid culture medium under specific conditions in the liquid. CONSTITUTION:A dikaryotic mycelium of a Coriolus versicolor (Fr.) Que l sp. is mechanically treated, e.g. ground or sheared, in a liquid culture medium, etc. or cultivated in a liquid culture medium at 25+ or -5 deg.C while subjecting the mycelium to the mechanical treatment for 3-15 days subculturally to obtain a monokaryotic mycelium of the Coriolus versicolor (Fr.) Que l sp., e.g. Coriolus versicolor (Fr.) Que l GX-101-3 (FERM-P No.3686). |
