Isoxazolylimidazolidinones of the formula I <CHEM> wherein: R<1> is C1-C6 alkyl; R<2> is hydrogen, or taken together with R<4> is a double bond; R<3> is hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl; R<4> is hydroxy, C1-C6 alkanoyloxy, or taken together with R<2> is a double bond; R<5> is hydrogen, halo, cyano, nitro, or C1-C6 alkyl; and R<6> is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C1-C3 alkoxy-C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C7 cycloalkyl or C1-C3 alkyl substituted C3-C7 cycloalkyl are useful as herbicides both terrestrial and aquatic. |
