PURPOSE:To lengthen the durability of the performance of O-ring by designating the width of a roof-type groove whose both ends are tapered, to approx. 1.7 times the diameter of the O-ring, and the depth of the groove to approx. 0.7 times the diameter of O-ring at both ends and also to the same as the diameter in the central part. CONSTITUTION:The groove for housing an O-ring is formed such that its depth is aporox. 0.7 times the diameter of O-ring at both ends and also the same as the diameter in the central part and its width is approx. 1.7 times the diameter of O-ring. Thus, during the pressing period, the O-ring is pressed on the inclined groove part to serve to seal up the part, and also when not in use, the O-ring is released from compression and restored to its almost free circular section form. |
