PURPOSE:To obtain a device whose electrode substrate is not curved, in a short time, by soaking an inlet of a liquid crystal cell whose electrode substrate has been formed in the shape of a convex surface, into liquid crystal in a tank which has removed air, and subsequently, infusing liquid crystal into the liquid crystal cell by pressure of the air, etc. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal cell 1 which has been formed by mutually opposing two electrode substrates 4 consisting of soda glass having a convex surface, through a sealing agent 5 is placed together with liquid crystal 3 in a tank 6 whose inside can be cut off from air, and a vacuum state is made by removing the air in the tank 6. After that, an inlet 2 of the liquid crystal cell 1 is soaked into the liquid crystal 3, and the air is led into the inside of the tank 6. The liquid crystal 3 is infused into the liquid crystal cell 1 from the inlet 2 by the atmospheric pressure. The electrode substrate 4 is varied gradually to a plane surface from a convex surface, and when the infusion has been completed, it becomes almost a plane surface. After the infusion has been completed, a satisfactory liquid crystal indicator can be obtained by sealing the inlet 2. According to this constitution, time required for infusion becomes half or less comparing with that in the past. |
