Heating system utilising waste heat from barn - has heat pump with evaporator and condenser within water tank which feeds radiator in house

The heating system comprises a fan (22) within a duct (20) for evacuating heated air from the barn and conducting it to the evaporator (26) of a heat pump (10). The heat pump condenser (42) is located within a water tank (52) which is in a circuit including a radiator (16) within the dwelling. The pipe (40) constituting the condenser decreases in diameter in the direction of refrigerant flow. An air filter (30) spans the inside of a duct (6) between the intake (8) and the fan. The fan is driven by an electric motor, a V-belt and sheaves on the motor and fan respectively. Assuming that a thermostat (74), a pressure switch and thermal cut-out switch are all closed, single-phase power is provided to a solenoid, closing contacts of a switch assembly. Three-phase power is thus applied to compressor motor and to the fan motor.
