<p>The insulator of the plug houses a connector part for the IC engine ignition cable and a contact portion for a spark plug, next to a connector opening, in addition to the anti-interference register. It may also contain a distributor terminal. The ends of the resistor are retained and secured in bores of the connector or contact parts. The resistor (2), the connector part (8), and the contact part (7) form a solid unit. The unit is enclosed in a flexible plastics forming the insulator (19), with an end section (20) comprising the plug connector aperture (9). Another end section (22) sealingly surrounds the end of the ignition cable (13). Preferably the insulator is made of an elastomer. Between the functional unit and the insulator may be provided an adhesive effecting the mechanical connection. The insulator may contain a cable chamber strengthening (16), secured to the connector part.</p> |
