PURPOSE:To permit an easy regeneration of ozone decomposition catalyst under a low energy by composing the ozone decomposition catalyst of at least one of Ti-Si, Ti-Zr and Ti-Si-Zr and at least one of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Ag, Pt, Pd and Rh and baking said catalyst up to a predetermined temperature in the presence of air or oxygen in such compositions that said catalyst comprises the predetermined weight percentages of the former and the latter. CONSTITUTION:An ozone decomposition catalyst consists of at least one of Ti-Si, Ti-Zr and Ti-Si-Zr and at least one of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Ag, Pt, Pd and Rh. Said catalyst is prepared by being baked at a temperature of 100-450 deg.C in the presence of air or oxygen in such compositions that said catalyst comprises 40-100wt.% of the former based on its oxide, 0-60wt.% of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn and Ag of the latter based on its oxide and 0-10wt.% of Pt, Pd and Rh thereof based on the element. The catalyst preparation in this way leads to an easy regeneration of the catalytic activity at a far lower temperature compared with the conventional catalyst. Preferably, the aforesaid baking is performed at a temperature of 200-400 deg.C. |
