<p>Apparatus for practising tennis or other ball games including a pair of upstanding posts (12), an elastic cord (28) extending between the posts (12) and a ball (11) connected to the elastic cord (28). A vertical net (15) is arranged forwardly of the posts (12) and in the path of movement of the ball (11). When the ball (11) is struck, the elastic cord (28) stretches until the ball (11) contacts the net which causes dissipation of at least some of the stored energy in the ball (11) thus reducing the rate of return of the ball towards the posts (12). </p> |
