PURPOSE:A lubricant for aluminum processing that contains a polyoxyalkylene derivative and higher alcohols, thus showing high lubricating properties, high resistances to spreading and blocking and oil-staining. CONSTITUTION:The objective lubricant is obtained by adding, when necessary, a phosphorus high-pressure additive and/or an aliphatic carboxylic acid or its ester to at least one selected from (A) polyoxyalkylene derivatives, (B) higher alcohols and (C) aliphatic carboxylic partial esters of polyhydric alcohols by 0.1-20wt%. Examples of component A are polyethylene glycol or polypropylene glycol, component B are lauryl alcohol or oleyl alcohol, component C are pentaerythritol mono- or dioleyl ester or sorbitan mono- or di-lauryl ester. |
