PURPOSE:To obtain an illuminating device which can be simply applied to both a rotary dial type telephone and a push-button dial telephone, by securing an illumination, when necessary, with a simple operation and thus eliminating the electric power consumption. CONSTITUTION:A lamp 9 is incorporated into a telephone housing and driven by driving circuit including a battery 10 and a switch 11. In addition, a light lead-out window 6 plus a cover body 5 which opens/closes the window 6 are provided to the driving circuit, and a light reflector 12 is attached on the inner surface of the body 5. At the same time, a printed circuit board 13 is installed within the telephone housing in parallel to a panel 2, and a spring 14 is provided to the switch 11. Then an operation lever 15 is provided to the spring 14, and a switch operating bar 16 is formed in a body on the inner surface of the body 5. The bar 16 is fitted to the lever 15 to ensure a linked action between an open/close of the body 5 and a switching action of the switch 11. Thus an illumination is made possible at a desired area by the lamp 9 when necessary with a simple operation. |
