Free-standing enclosed awning for caravans - has connecting passageway linking rear wall opening to caravan door when necessary

The awning is formed by a free-standing tent (10) comprising a frame covered by a roof, a front wall, two side walls and a rear wall (15) containing an opening in which a connecting passage (20) formed by the two upright side walls (21,22) linked by a roof (25) connects this door opening with the caravan. The edges of the connecting passageway are provided on the side of the caravan with conventional connecting runners. The awning can now be left as a free-standing tent whilst the caravan is moved, a special advantage where motor caravans are used.
