METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AERATION AND STIRRING

PURPOSE:To sufficiently carry out aeration and stirring by reversing a direction of a revolving stream in a revolving stream channel generated by a aerating a liquid to be treated in a water tank to prevent a shortcircuit stream by a simple method. CONSTITUTION:Plural air diffusing pipes 2 are mutually arranged to a leftand and a rightand sides along a flowing direction in the water tank 1. Said air diffusing pipes 2 are connected to a blower 4 through a flow meter 3 and a flow amont control valve 9 and revolving streams of a liquid in the tank are generated to opposed directions mutually as shown by a stream line 11. Inflow water 5 is continuously poured into the tank 1 and an equal amount of outflow water 10 is overflowed outwardly from other end of said tank 1. When a flow in the tank is stabilized, a tracer 6 is injected into the tank to carry out the aeration stirring. By this method, the shortcircuit stream can be prevented by a simple means without providing a barrier plate or a partition plate and stirring can be carried out sufficiently.
