PURPOSE:To prevent dislocation of fitted parts by fitting one part to the other after cooling one of these two parts and thereby applying a forced tensile force between these two until they recovered the setting temperature. CONSTITUTION:When a shaft 4 is fitted in a pulley 5, the shaft 4 is cooled in a cooling vessel by the evaporation heat of liquefied nitrogen and is contracted. The contracted shaft 4 is inserted into the bearing 9 for pulley 5 and born by a flange 10. A push metal 7 is squeezed by another push metal 6 provided with hook 11 and a bolt and nut 8, 12 to detain the pulley 5 at the shaft 4, and they are left as it is until they recover the room temperature, when the shaft is firmly fitted in the pulley in the designed position. |
