ENZYME IMMUNOASSAY METHOD

PURPOSE:To analyze a trace antibody without rinsing and liquid replacing by abruptly changing current or potential by a non-stationary electrolysis between an enzyme immune electrode and counter electrode. CONSTITUTION:A buffer soln. 8 is put into a vessel 7 made of glass, into which vessel the enzyme immune electrode 1 made of platinum immobilized with an antibody, the counter electrode 3 and a reference electrode 5 are inserted. The non-stationary electrolysis is effected between the enzyme immune electrode 1 and the counter electrode 3 and the polarization characteristic by the activity of only the enzyme immobilized to the electrode 1 is determined. The quantity of the antigen is measured by the instantaneous current value of this time or the magnitude of the change in the potential. The current potential depends only on the surface condition of the electrode regardless of the bath composition of the offing of the electrode and, therefore, the trace antigen is analyzed and detected without requiring rinsing and liquid replacing as in the prior art.
