PURPOSE:To make alignment easy by decomposing a position of an object into coordinate components such as the X direction and the Y direction crossed perpendicularly each other. CONSTITUTION:A table 4, that is supported horizontally on a base part 7 of a roundness measuring device, comprises the lower part 4a drived to the Y direction with a rotation of a knob 8 on this base part and the upper part 4b drived to the X direction with a rotation of a knob 9. An object 3 for which a roundness will be measured is mounted to the upper part 4b on the table 4. A supporting plate 11 is mounted at the lower end of a rotation axis and a detector from which a tracer 5 hangs is set to the supporting plate 11. A position of the upper part 4b of the table is adjusted such that run-outs of a X indictor 13 and a Y indicator are held to minimum. An R indicator indicates a condition of contact between a tracer 5a of the tracer 5 and an object 3. |
