PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for any additive load element and eliminate the influence of the evolution of heat by using light emitting elements for data imprinting as load during battery checking. CONSTITUTION:When a release switch 15 is in an open state, a clock signal CKL is supplied to a counter 11, by which the counter 11 is operated. When the most significant bit of this counter 11 goes to a 1, the output signal ECN of the counter 11 is supplied to an OR gate 24. In response to this signal ECN, the gate 24 generates a signal SBC, which sets an FF25. All the segments of an imprinting unit 9 are lighted by the set signal TST of this FF25. When at this time the voltage of a battery 1 is lower than reference voltage Vref, the inversion output of an operational amplifier 28 is latched in an FF29, and the output signal ERR of the FF29 goes to the high level, thereby putting out an LED30. In this case, the signal ERR closes the gate of a gate circuit 19, thereby inhibiting imprinting of data and preventing accident such as drop-out of data. |
