<p>PURPOSE:To provide a filler for thermoplastic resins, which seldom lowers strength and impact strength which the thermoplastic resins themselves possess, and does not increase the weight of products, by kneading a waste crosslinked plastic with heating under the action of shear force. CONSTITUTION:A waste crosslinked plastic is heated, whereby a crosslinking agent remaining in said waste crosslinked plastic is reacted to make crosslinking progress and to exhaust crosslinking activity. At the same time, the plastic is kneaded under the action of shear force, whereby the interlocking of molecular chain, the breakdown of agglomeration, the breaking of the molecular chain, etc. take place. An example of said waste crosslinked plastic is waste crosslinked polythylene produced as a residual material after the recovery of copper wire from crosslinked polyethylene-coated power cables.
