PURPOSE:To provide the tilted compsn. in which rigidity and impact resistance are remarkably improved, by mixing colloidal calcium carbonate having a specified particle size with a blend consisting of a polyolefin resin and a thermoplastic elastomer. CONSTITUTION:5-100pts.wt. Colloidal calcium carbonate having an average particle size of 0.05-1mu is blended with 100pts.wt. blend consisting of 60-97wt% polyolefin resin (e.g. crystalline PP or a mixt. of crystalline PP and PE) and 40- 3wt% thermoplastic elastomer (e.g. an ethylene-propylene copolymer). In the resulting polyolefin resin compsn., properties improved by adding the elastomer are further improved, and particularly low-temperature impact resistance in addition to high rigidity is remarkably enhanced without lowering rigidity and heat resistance which the polyolefin itself possesses. Thus, the polyolefin resin compsn. is particularly useful in the fields of automotive part, electrical appliance part and other industrial part. |
