The arrangement is intended for growing vegetable material for animal feed or human consumption. It uses a conveyor belt which moves slowly in horizontal direction either stepwise or continuously. A substrate, e.g. containing fibrous material and nutrients, is placed on the belt. The belt then passes a growing area which is artificially lit and water-sprayed and where any further nutrients or other additives may be supplied. At the end of the belt the grown vegetable material is removed for storage and packing or directly to animal feed troughs. Controlled and continuous indoor cultivation of green vegetable for animal feed or human consumption.
