Process for the manufacture of a link belt, for example for paper machines, consisting of a multiplicity of monofil helical strands of an elastic material, preferably of a thermofixing plastic, which strands are assembled successively and in mutual engagement transversely to their longitudinal extent, in which process a coupling wire is pushed as joining means into the helices which have been fitted into each other and the helices are thus joined to one another, characterized in that, during assembly, the last helix strand (3) being fixed by the joining means (6) is fixed, at least in the fitting region of the helix strand (2) to be introduced, by filling the free spaces (8) of the penultimate helix strand (4), in such a way that yielding of the last helix strand (3) in the direction of the joining pressure is not possible.</p> |
