This device serves for shoeing a horse and consists of a strip (15) made of flexible material with an L-shaped cross-section and of a shoe (14) made of synthetic resin. The strip is preshaped in such a manner that it bears against the walls (11, 12) of the hoof (10) and against its sole both at the front and laterally. For shoeing, first the strip (15) is fastened on the hoof and then the shoe is fastened on the strip. Such a shoe does not damage the horn walls and even horses with clefts or with brittle horn can be shod easily and correctly even by someone who is not trained as a farrier. <IMAGE> |
