Apparatus for surface treatment of the type where the treatment goods is automatically lowered into a heated treating bath from above, and lifted from said bath in a treatment vessel with an automatically controlled lid. In order to reduce the energy requirements, a special lid 13 is provided on or near the surface of the bath, said special lid shielding the free surface of the bath, and which may be removed separately at the introduction into and lifting from the treatment vessel 10, and which may e.g. consist of two lid flaps 13A, 13B being able to be manoeuvred together with the ordinary lid 12 of the treatment vessel. <IMAGE> |
