The building structure comprises several vertical lower posts (1-1a) attached to a foundation block which extend at least up to ground-level. Intermediate slabs (2), pref. of moulded concrete, are secured to the lower posts adjacent to, and on top of, one another. A set of upper posts (7-7a) are positioned vertically in line with the lower posts (1-1a) and extend at least up to the level of the first storey of the building. The lower ends (8) of the upper posts are rigidly connected to the tops (9) of the lower posts using bolts (10).
