Process for the preparation of 1-(lower aminoalkyl)-3,4-diphenyl-1H-pyrazoles

1-[3-(N,N-Dimethylamino)propyl]-3,4-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole is prepared by reductive alkylation, by formaldehyde in combination with formic acid or with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst, of 1-(3-aminopropyl)-3,4-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole. The compound obtained is an antidepressant agent.
