<p>The automatic screen printing machine synchronises the relative movements of the screen, the work, and the printing squeegee. The squeegee carrier is mounted on horizontal rods and is moved backwards and forwards by a motor driven mechanical linkage. A table below the screen table is raised and lowered vertically to bring the work in contact with the screen. The squeegee is raised and lowered by a linkage which comprises an actuating rod (20) which when moved outwards by the operation of an electromagnet pivots an arm which carries a roller at its end. The arm becomes more horizontal and allows a follower to fall to a lower stop. When the actuating rod moves inwards, the lever rises and lifts the follower, and with it the squeegee.</p> |
