<p>The valve regulates the travel speed of an irrigation water distributor at the end of a hose wound onto a drum driven by a hydraulic motor. A pivoting feeler bears against the hose turns coiled on the drum, and controls the water flowing to or from the motor. In the motor circuit is a cylindrical passage, across which there extends an eccentric valve disc with a notch in the periphery. The disc is coupled to the feeler, and pivots about its axis through an angle proportional to the angular feeler movement.</p> |
