A method for filling a plate filter press with slurry in which resistance to filling increases during the filling process employs a rotary filling pump whose speed is controlled automatically to increase the slurry pressure according to a predetermined curve and subsequently to hold the pressure constant. A single pump may fill a number of presses sequentially. |
