Aqueous adhesive emulsions based on aqueous emulsion copolymers of vinyl esters such as vinyl acetate, especially with ethylene, are provided with improved solvent insolubility and adhesive characteristics in the presence of hydroxy functional protective colloid which is present during the copolymerization, by the inclusion in the copolymer of a monoethylenic carbamate, especially allyl carbamate. |
