COATING OF GRANULATED ORGANIC DYES WITH AN EPOXY

The invention disclosed relates to organic dye compositions of improved mechanical properties, particularly hardness. Increased solids loading, particularly when a red dye is employed in the dye composition, is also observed. The improved mechanical properties and higher solids loading occur as a result of coating the dye material with a uniform coating of an inert non-sticking coating material. The coating material preferably comprises an epoxy resin and an amine curing agent, wherein the epoxy resin is cured in situ.
