<p>S P E C I F I C A T I O N "Method of Positioning a Frame in a Paved Surface" ABRIDGMENT OF THE DISCLOSURE A support frame for a man-hole cover, grating or inspection cover in a paved surface, such as a road, has an outwardly extending flange the upper surface of which is to coincide with the level of the finished surface. The frame is placed in position below the level of the finished surface and held in that position by temporary supports while the surface material is laid. Pressure is then applied to the newly laid material by means of a roller so that material is forced under the flange, thereby supporting the frame and lifting it to the desired level.</p> |
