The invention relates to a removable setting which can be taken out of a jewel (piece of jewellery) (7) and be re-placed on another one. It consists of a shaft (1), along which a setting (2) is introduced, the latter being equipped at its base with a ball pump system (3) which snaps into a groove (5). A cut (4) on the base of the setting (2) wedges the latter and provides a hold for removing it. This device is intended particularly for manufacturers of fashion and fine jewellery. <IMAGE>
