PURPOSE:To enable multiplex transmission with comparatively long distance and to make stable optical multiplex transmission, by constituting that the component of wave length is that of the central part for one transmitter while the component is one of those other than that of the central part for another transmitter. CONSTITUTION:Out of an output optical signal 121 outputted from an optical transmitter 11, the component transmitted to an optical transmission line 1 via an optical brancher 31 is that of the central part which is transmitted through a filter. After this optical signal 131 propagates on the transmission line 1, it is incident to an optical brancher 32 and transmits it almost without loss and inputted to an optical receiver 22. On the other hand, the wave length component other than the center of an optical signal 122 transmitted from an optical transmitter 12 is transmitted to the transmission line 1 via the brancher 32 and similarly transmitted to an optical receiver 21. Thus, even if a light source having substantially the same illuminated wave length is used, the multiplex transmission of comparatively long distance can be made, and even to the change in the light emission wave length area due to temperatures, stable multiplex transmission can be made. |
