PURPOSE:To obtain a dry bearing material having excellent wear resistance by forming a Cu or Cu alloy sintered base layer on a steel lining and then forming a coated layer composed of a fluorine-containing resin and Cu-covered graphite in and on the Cu or Cu alloy sintered base layer. CONSTITUTION:A 70:30 mixture of Cu powder and a Cu-Sn alloy powder is spread over an approx. 1mm. thick finished steel sheet 1, and then sintered at 950- 1,050 deg.C to form an approx. 0.2mm. thick metal base layer 2. Then, Cu-covered graphite powder is mixed with a dispersion type fluorocarbon resin, and the mixture is sprayed on the metal base layer 2 to form an approx. 20-30mu thick coating layer 3, heated at 380 deg.C for 15min, and cooled quickly. Thus, a dry bearing material having excellent wear resistance can be manufactured. |
