PURPOSE:To withstand long-time use and prevent the occurrence of pickup phenomena by forming a titled electrode material at the composition ratios contg. specific amounts of Fe, and P and the balance consisting of Cu. CONSTITUTION:An electrode material of the composition ratios contg. 0.05-0.15 Fe by weight %, 0.22-0.045 P, or further <0.5 Sn and the balance consisting of Cu, is dissolved in a low frequency furnace and a cast ingot is made by, for example, semicontinuous casting. A small piece is cut out from this cast ingot. This small piece is hot-forged and is heated, after which it is cooled and cold-forged. Thence, the cold-forged piece is lathed to an electrode shape. |
