<p>A sensor for converting pressure and/or expansion into an electrical signal has a sensing member (4) made of rubber and provided with two opposed surfaces subjected to the sensing action. The electrically conductive component of the rubber sensing member is acetylene black. The rubber sensing member is connected to the two surfaces at electrical connecting elements, for example metal plates (2, 3). The sensor has a linear electrical resistance-deformation characteristic curve, and is suitable for precise reproduction of both the dynamic and static deformations.</p> |
