<p>Compsn. for deodorising, absorbing and disinfecting comprises a mixt. of absorbing agents, disinfecting agents and deodorising and masking agents. Pref. one component is an absorbent powder capable of absorbing at least its own wt. of water. The bacteriostatic agents are pref. synergistic, and one is pref. pine oil, which builds the deodorising power of the synthetic masking agent with a smell of pine. Prods. have a triple action of absorbing moisture or liq. contamination, killing germs and bacteria contained by this, and of deodorising and masking the odour. They are esp. useful for treating animal excrement or vomit e.g. in houses, cars, or other interior spaces, with an improvement in hygiene, killing of germs to prevent spread of disease, and masking of unpleasant odours. After absorbing the contamination, the dry powder can be removed by any standard means. A pref. compsn. contains 50% hydrated aluminium silicate (av. particle size 0.2 mm), 45% hydrated aluminium silicate (av. particle size 0.1 mm), 1% quat. ammonium bactericide, 1% polychlorocamphone bactericide, 2% pine oil (synergised by polychlorocamphone) and 1% synthetic masking agent (synergised by pine oil).</p> |
