PURPOSE:To save the amount of lead used in manufacturing a collector by cast-on method, by curving the lags of an assembled element so as to enable the collector to be made as thin as possible. CONSTITUTION:An assembled element 3 is constituted by placing positive plates 1, separators 6 and negative plates 1 alternately in layers. Lags 2 of the element 3 are immersed in a molten lead or a molten lead alloy 5 contained in a metal mold 4, which is usually used in making an electrode pole or a collector, while the molten lead or the molten lead alloy 5 is cooled, thereby a collector being manufactured. Here, the lags 2 are bent at a right angle before they are immersed into the metal mold 4. |
