Audiovisual controller for vehicle door mechanism - uses proximity or limit switches to test closing of doors and signals failure simultaneously switching off drive motor

The circuit provides visual and audible signals to indicate that a door is not closed and a visual signal to indicate which of the doors is not closed. Each door is provided with a proximity detector or a limit switch which is actuated when the door is fully closed. Cabling is used to link each detector to a central control panel. A signal lamp is provided for each door and is lit if a door is not closed. Additionally, a larger warning lamp is illuminated if any one door warning lamp is lit, and a audible warning is operated if any door is not closed. The door closing motors are stopped immediately a failed closure is indicated and may be reversed to open the door if required.
