PURPOSE:To increase the attenuation of a stopping band without increasing the degree of attenuation of a pass band, by attaching a capacitive or inductive stub at the opposite side of the area of a transmission line where a resonator approximates. CONSTITUTION:The area of a terminal-opened line from its end to a length equivalent to the 1/4 wavelength of a resonator 1 forming a filter is set close and in parallel to a transmission line 2. The terminal-opened transmission line has a length equivalent to 1/2 wavelength of the resonator 1. Then a capacitive or inductive stub 8 is attached at the place to oppose to either one of both the ends at the area equivalent to a length of 1/4 wavelength of the line 2 as well as at the opposite place. |
