<p>The process for separating a liquid floating on water, for example oil and particularly crude oil on seawater, comprises the forming in situ at the water surface to be cleaned, a water stable synthetic foam. To this effect, a mixture is hardened, arranged around, or optionally in the middle of the liquid, with a di-or polyamine, the mixture containing a liquid epoxy resin, without solvent, 5 to 15% by weight, based on the epoxy resin, of a hardener based on an alkylated phenol and a bisphenol as well as a methylalkylketone and 20 to 30% by weight of an accelerator. </p> |
