<p>A multilayer anti-drone sheet for automobile bodywork comprises a polypropylene foam layer having a weight per unit area of 0.15-0.75 kg/m2, a density of 40-70 kg/m3, a tension-resistant mesh fabric sealed onto the upper face of this having a weight per unit area of 0.1-0.6 kg/m2 of inorganic fibres, and a permanently plastic adhesive on the opposite face at 0.15-0.75 kg/m2, optionally covered with a protective foil; the total weight excluding protective foil is 0.4-1.0 kg/m2. This composite sheeting provides a loss factor of at least 0.1 in the frequency range below 600 Hz with a low weight per unit area. The polypropylene foam is pref. closed-cell and is cross-linked. The tensile stiffness of the mesh fabric is pref. at least 12% of that of the spring steel plate having a thickness of 0.1 mm.</p> |
