<p>The gallery support lining is sealed towards the long face by mat warping and oilcloth, where a process is applied for enhancing durability of work face galleries, esp. in sloping deposits. The accompanying barriers are constructed from rapidly hard-setting materials. The gallery, in the form of base gallery (1), has a plinth (4) made of damming material inserted in it, before passage of the long face between the gallery bottom (2) and seam floor (3). After passage through the long face, the gap between plinth and gallery ridge is sheathed (11) and filled (5) to a depth of at least 2.5m. Timber piers are also set in position between long face roof and floor, embedded in the barrier. This permits preservation of full gallery width, with improved atmosphere and more effective gas extraction while costs are reduced.</p> |
