Vehicle seat belt guide fitting - has oval deviating eyelet with larger radius attachment forming one piece with fitting cover

The seat belt strap fitting (1) consists of a folded-over metal strip (2) with the double sheet metal part (16) bolted to a suitable part of the bodywork. The folded-over part of the strip provides a seating for the crosspiece (3c) of the oval eyelet (3). The other crosspiece (3a) has a plastics attachment (11), with a radius considerably larger than the radius of the crosspiece. The larger radius-surface (13) of the attachment serves as a slide surface for the strap. On both ends of the eyelet (3), the plastics material covers partly the metal, follows the shape of the eyelet and connects to the cover (6) provided over the double sheet metal part of the fitting on the upper part. It reaches underneath the folded-over part of the eyelet crosspiece (3c) and is fitted with a recess accommodating the head of the fixing bolt (4).
