A railing edge with an attachable fitting which is furnished, with an horizontal flange (2) for its securing to the decks top-side, and to a largely vertical flange (3, 4). This is in a lower section (3) designed to extend some length down over the planking and, in an upper section (4), form a reinforcing rail. A primary characteristic of the invention is that the upper section (4) at its upper edge has an inward and downward curving part (5), and that the fitting (6) on its deck-facing side has an outward and upward curving part (12). This is designed to securely engage under the curved part (5) of the railing edge (1), whilst a footing section (10) on the fitting (6) is designed to engage from above on the edge's horizontal flange (2) and is secured to the deck within this.<IMAGE> |
