The folding support for a table consists of its sides (1, 2, 3, 4) hinged on hinges (5, 6, 7, 8) so that they fold on one another. The base of the table can be square, oblong, hexagonal or octagonal. The sides and hinges are made in one operation by injection-moulding. The table is stabilised in position when open by a table top (9) placed on the support and fitting into it.
