The invention contains a moulding device for producing sprue-free moulded parts as a consequence of a precise surface mating of a pair of moulds. The moulding device comprises an upper holding element for fixing at least one upper mould with a channel into which a mouldable material is to be introduced, and a lower holding element for fixing at least one lower mould with a cavity, the aim being to fill a specific amount of fluid between a base surface of the lower mould and the lower holding element. In this manner the lower mould floats on the fluid and is movable along the lower holding element. After surface mating is effected between the base surface of the upper mould and the upper surface of the lower mould, precise mutual contact results as a consequence of back pressure of the fluid. <IMAGE>
