PURPOSE:To prevent any defective fusion of a container and a container lid in assembling a battery by providing both the top surface of the lid and a lid holding tool with concave or convex parts so that the parts on the tool fit the parts on the top surface of the lid. CONSTITUTION:A battery element is installed in a container 1 made of polypropylene, and the containe 1 and a container lid 2 made of polypropylene are fused, thereby a storage battery being constituted. A container-lid holding tool 3, which has sucking plates 4 that suck and hold the lid 2, is used in fusing the container 1 and the lid 2. The tool 3 is provided with concave or convex parts 6, which fit convex or concave parts 5 provided on the top surface of the lid 2. Consequently, any defect of the lid can be prevented since the parts 6 do not fit any different kinds of container lids. |
