PURPOSE:To maintain the amount of the toner on a sleeve below a constant amount and to perform always stable developing with simple construction by controlling the replenishing of the toner by means of an oscillatable nonmagnetic plate provided near the replenishing port of a toner tank. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic plate 6 is mounted freely oscillatory via a fulcrum 7 near the replenishing port 31 of a toner tank 3, and an opening part 61 is provided longitudinally to the leading end part thereof. When the ratio in the number of revolutions of a magnet roll 1 and a sleeve 2 is >=20, a toner layer 44 of constant thickness is formed, and when it gradually grows and reaches the leading end part of the plate 6,it goes to the opposite side through the opening part 6. This toner 45 receives force in the direction of the roll 1, and the plate 6 moves in a (u) direction, thereby closing the port 31. Therefore, the replenishing of the toner 4 is inhibited, and the toner 45 is replenished. If the amount of the toner 45 decreases, the plate 6 returns to the home position by gravity, and this operation is repeated. Thereby, the layer 44 is kept always below the constant thickness and stable developing is accomplished. |
