PURPOSE:To obtain an antiarrhythmic agent having excellent activity and safety, simply producible at low cost, comprising a piperidine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective antiarrhythmic agent comprises a compound of formula I (R is H, 1-12C alkyl or 6-12C aryl; Q is phenyl or pyrrole and 1-3 Hs in Q may be replaced with organic groups such as halogen, 1-3C alkyl or imidazolylmethyl; organic group of formula II is group of formula III, formula IV or formula V) as an active ingredient. 5-[4-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)-1-piperidinyl]-2- isopropyl-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)valeronitrile may be cited as the compound of formula I. The daily dose is 1mug-5g in the case of oral administration and 0.01mug-1g in the case of parenteral administration. |
